Return to Additional Measures During Covid-19 Pandemic

Covid-19 Measures For Parents and Players

Details of the measures in place for Parents and Players to Combat Covid-19 are listed below. These measures are mandatory, they implement the FA Guidelines that have been agreed by the Government to allow Grass Roots football to take place and they form part of the risk mitigation that we have agreed with LBRUT that is required for the use of the Palewell facility. A similar Agreement will be made with Rosslyn Park.

Parents

  1. You must agree to your child’s participation.
  2. You must comply with public health restrictions and avoid high-risk behaviour outside the football setting to
reduce the risk to fellow participants and other attendees.
  3. If you are showing symptoms of the virus or have been in contact with someone displaying symptoms within the last two weeks, then you must stay at home until an NHS practitioner advises you that you no longer need to remain in isolation.
  4. Perform assessment of your child before they leave home to attend any Sheen Lions event and only allow them to travel if they are symptom free.
  5. Inform your Sheen Lions Contact (your Manager usually) if anyone (you or your child) attending a Sheen Lions Event subsequently develops symptoms.
  6. Ensure your child knows how to maintain good hygiene and has their own named water and hand sanitiser.
  7. For younger children on delivery to the event ensure that the player does not approach any other person until they have reported to their manager for registration and confirmation of self check.
  8. Be familiar with and follow all social distancing guidelines at matches and training. See FA Guidance.
  9. You must leave the area if it is already full.
  10. Never touch equipment not even to retrieve a ball.
  11. You must not shout.

Spectator Numbers

On occasion it is going to be challenging to position spectators on the touchlines while following social distancing rules. The first priority is to ensure the safety of the Children involved in your game, on any adjacent pitches and in warm up areas. It may be that not everyone can watch the game and a fair arrangement will have to be reached.

When necessary the respective Respect Marshalls should agree the arrangements.
