Child Protection

At Sheen Lions we acknowledge our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people involved in football which we organise and/or supervise and we are committed to working to provide children and young people with a safe environment.

The Club subscribes to and promotes all The FA’s child welfare policies, guidelines and best practices as set out in our comprehensive Child Protection Policy. This includes the appointment of a Club Welfare Officer(CWO) and the performing of Enhanced Disclosure checks on all coaches, team and club officials taking active roles within the Club.

From the 2008-09 season it is mandatory for every youth football club affiliated to The FA to have appointed a fully qualified and Enhanced Disclosure checked Club Welfare Officer (CWO).
