We were asked to sent out a very tough message from Graham Ekins, The Chairman of the Surrey Youth League after some very bad events over the previous weekend. The story was picked up early in the week by some national newspapers including The Times and The Telegraph and also Sky Sports News.
Graham obviously thought it important to show that the problem is only caused by a very small unwanted minority and that the vast majority of us are here to make sure our children enjoy themselves.
There are so many good clubs in the Surrey Youth League to pick but Sheen Lions is delighted that Graham chose us to showcase youth football today and came to Palewell to meet with Sky Sports New and The Times.
I am sure our boys were all thrilled to see a Sky cameras at Palewell and we would especially like to thank all our guest clubs today for showing what a great thing youth football can be.
