All SYL Matches Cancelled on Sunday 20th January
With the adverse weather now upon us the SYL management committee have cancelled all SYL matches.
This does not affect County Cup matches!

Palewell Closed Sat 19th – Sunday 20th Jan
No surprise but all Saturday training and Sunday games are off at Palewell Common due to the weather.
With temperatures never above 0 between now and Sunday and with snow falling over the whole are it is most unlikely that and pitches will be playable however wait until you hear from your team manager before making plans. Your game may still take place away, rule 10(L).

Sheen Lions U18s In County Cup Quarters
A 3-1 home win over Ottershaw has put the U18s through to play a County Cup quarter final tie.
The U18s will play Caterham Pumas away on the 3rd February. Good luck to them.
Also on 3rd February our U16 Lions will play their League Cup semi final against Brockham Badgers. If they win this will give them their third Cup final in three seasons.
ON 10th March our U9 Lions play a League Cup semi-final against Farnham Town.

U8 Dads 6 – 5 Sheen Coaches
The U8 dads narrowly beat the Sheen Lions coaches in an 11 goal thriller on Saturday despite the coaches drafting in a number of U16 boys to bring some mobility to their team. Head coach Michael was disappointed to see Trevor fluff a glorious chance in the last minute to tie the match.

U7 and U8 Will Be 5 v 5 From Season 2013-14
For next season, starting in September 2013 bith the U7 and U8 age groups will play a 5 v 5 format.
The principle
- 5 v 5 players on the pitch at any one time
- A maximum of 2 roll on roll off substitutes may be used for the match
- Each player should play at least half the match.
- A maximum Squad of 10 registered players
- Size 3 Ball
- Flexible playing time not to exceed 40 minutes i.e. a match will be 2 x 20 mins half’s or 4 x 10 minute quarters agreeable by the competing managers and finally decided by the home team.
- Standard Mini Soccer Goals.
- All current Mini Soccer Rules Apply except where stated.
- Flexible pitch size: Recommended 20 wide x 30 yards long however games can take place on pitches up to 50 x 30 yds if these are the only ones available.

Orders cannot be changed once made so it is important that you order the correct size. Garments can only be returned if they are faulty, as they will be personalised.
