Home Games Off Sunday 10th December

Due to the weather Palewell is closed and there can be no home games today.

Sheen Lion’s U8 Round Robin Nov 26th 2017

Sheen Lions U8’s Cubs played their first ever game on Saturday at Westside.

Both teams found the games very challenging,  both the Westside teams are already  playing matches on Sundays, so have game related experience and are used to playing as a team.

Having said that we made it competitive for them. Sean the Westside manager said ” We normally win 8-10 nil but for Sheen Lion’s to keep the score to 4-1 was amazing”.

The players, parents and of course Anthony & I were happy with the performances and are looking forward to the next one.

Coach Michael.

Children In Need 2017 Donation

Managers/Coaches/Parents
What a great week to raise money for Children in Need!!
We are donating £5.00 per goal and £10.00 per clean sheet.
Goals raised £340.00.
Clean sheets raised £40.00
Instead of collecting a hat trick ball the U14s Pride are donating the cost of ball, £15.00.
Not only that but the U9s Lions got together and decided to donate from their own pocket money, donating a further £50.00. What a wonderful thing to do.
If my sums are right Sheen lions F.C. will be donating a grand total of:
£445.00.

A HUGE thank you to all the boys and their tremendous efforts.
They have made a difference to other children’s lives.
I’m very proud of each and everyone of them.

Dogs At Saturday Training

PARENTS

I have been asked by our coaches to email regarding bringing dogs to Saturday morning training. Although many of you already comply with our request, and tether your dog, there have been cases of dogs being allowed to run through their sessions, causing disruption and indeed anxiety for the some of the boys. The dogs are also inclined to foul equipment and belongings.

Dogs are welcome at our sessions however, as part of the club’s Code of Conduct and in order for the training sessions to continue, we ask that all our members comply with our very reasonable request to keep their dogs under control and on leads in our designated areas whilst training is in progress. Coaches will stop sessions until they are satisfied their session can continue without disruption from untethered dogs. No doubt that won’t be popular with other parents, nor the boys.

Although Palewell Common is open to the public, it should be noted that these training areas are for the sole use of Sheen Lions FC on Saturday mornings from 9.00am – 12.30am. They are designated sports areas, given over to us by Richmond Borough Council as our official training ground, and are paid for by Sheen Lions F.C.

We would ask the same on HOME match days regarding keeping dogs under control. Your compliance will be greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.

Thank you
