With the season fast coming to an end, this is a reminder that you MUST please return your son’s match day shirt to your manager at the end of your final game.
If you are playing in tournaments the manager will hand out shirts on the day and collect them back in straight after.
Managers will be given new shirts for their squads next season however, in order for this to happen the existing ones are to be returned. The managers keep an inventory of boys and their shirt numbers so it will be easy for them to keep track of what hasn’t been returned.
Thank you for your co-operation
regards
Sarah

Sheen Lions F.C. will be holding its Summer Soccer Six programme for this season’s U6/7s. U8s. U9s. U10s. U11s. This will be a final chance for managers and coaches to look at players in readiness for next season. If you are interested in joining Sheen Lions for the 2017-18 season as an U9 or older these sessions are your best opportunity to win a place in our squads, these squads are largely chosen well before the Summer holidays.
The Saturday sessions will be held on Palewell Common from 9.00 -10:30 am on the following dates in 2017:
June 10. 17. 24.
July 1. 8. 15.
Current members of the Club and those on our waiting list will be sent an eMail invitation to register for the Summer Soccer Six in May.
If you are thinking of joining Sheen Lions then this is an excellent opportunity to play some football, experience some great coaching and maybe gain a place in one of our squads for next season. Contact SoccerSix@sheenlions.org for details including your name, your child’s name and birthday and we will send you an invite when we start registering.
Fees for the six sessions will be £45. There is no option to pay for individual sessions, we cannot cope with that extra administration.

For some age groups there will be a new approach to the end of season celebrations.
For age groups U9, U10, U11 and U12s there will be a Presentation Evening at the Bank Of England Sports Club on Thursday 18th May. This will follow a similar format to previous years and we expect some entertainment will be provided.
Each playing member of squads in the above age groups should attend. In a change from previous years, we regret that due to space limitations we can only accommodate one parent per player and there is no room for any other guests including siblings. The above age groups will receive an email invitation in due course.
Age groups U6, U7 and U8 will receive their trophies on Saturday 13th May at training.
The older age groups, U13, U14, U16 and U18 will arrange their own events to close the season and distribute trophies and awards. The Club will provide managers with a subsidy equivalent to the BoE cost per player for these.
There will be award trophies for these age groups but we are leaving it to each Manger to decide if trophies are appropriate for each squad member in these age groups. If they are required Sarah needs to know by Friday 24th March so they can be ordered.
The most prestigious end of season award is Player’s Player. Only players vote, not parents!
Age groups from U9 up will receive an email invitation to vote when their season completes or just after Easter, whichever is earlier.
Votes must be in by Friday 28th April at the latest so trophies can be engraved.
Managers and Coaches must decide on their three awards and notify Sarah by Friday 28th April.
